On Tuesday, January 16th, the College of Nursing provided a unique opportunity for its students to engage with accomplished BYU nursing alumni during a memorable networking event. The evening kicked off with a light dinner and refreshments, in which alumni were scattered across the tables to introduce themselves to students. Following introductions and an opening prayer, the dynamic speed networking sessions commenced, allowing students 15 minutes per table of their choice to engage in meaningful discussions with the alumni.
The event completed about 5 rotations before the end of the night, though there were about 13 tables total. We had an outstanding turnout of over 60 students and 21 alumni attend.
Concluding the event, students were provided a sheet containing the contact information and titles of each alumni, facilitating future connections if desired.
The College of Nursing would like to thank our incredible Alumni Board for making this event possible, in addition to all the participating students and alumni. Looking ahead, we hope to see an even greater turnout at the next Speed Nurseworking night.
