Unseen Injuries: Dr. Stacie Hunsaker’s Research on Care for Assault Survivors
Dr. Hunsaker researches literature on traumatic brain injuries in sexual assault and/or intimate partner violence survivors. Her studies increase awareness and care by teaching nurses to assess for traumatic injury and teaching patients how to appropriately care for themselves afterwards.

This past week, several students from BYU College of Nursing’s Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) chapter attended the National SNA 73rd annual convention in Seattle. Graduate Spotlight: Kelby Sosa
Growing up, Kelby Sosa wanted to be a paramedic so he could help others on what might be their worst day. Now as a recent graduate, he is excited to work in an ICU for a few years before moving on to either work in the catheterization lab assisting doctors in inserting a thin tube into the heart through a blood vessel or study to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
